Title: The proteins that take care of our emergencies

Abstract:
When the alarm goes off in our body. Cells undergoing stress stop or slow down their normal activity and begin to produce relevant quantities of special proteins named «Heat Shock Proteins». HSPs have been discovered in 1962 by Ferruccio Ritossa, professor of genetics at the University of Bari, examining chromosomes of salivary glands of fruit flies which had received stress from heat.
